Approached by award-winning interior designer Nickolas Gurtler to undertake design documentation and construction drawings for the revolutionary menopause clinic of Dr Fatima Khan. Nickolas, renowned for bringing a luxurious touch to medical focused interiors, required documentation including plans and detailing of a suite of bespoke joinery designs.
The clinic features layered, sculptural forms, including a monolithic stone reception counter, timber-tiered lounge banquette seating, and custom shelving — all requiring precise coordination between designer, fabricators, and contractors. To ensure the complex joinery aligned with the existing building layout and site conditions, a combination of 3D and 2D visualisations were used to communicate scale, sequencing, and construction methodology. Equal care was given to stonework layouts, ensuring adequate slab yield and consistent veining throughout high-impact touchpoints.
The project has been a huge success being published in Vogue Magazines Jan '25 issue and being shortlisted at both the 2025 IDEA awards Austrlaian Interior Design Awards. It was a pleasure.
